Nabasco develops structural biobased composite from regional residual biomass such as reed harvesting waste, combined with recycled mineral components. The result is a rigid, durable material engineered for exterior and technical applications. The panels are applied in 3D façades, housings for electrical systems, traffic signage and outdoor furniture. Contexts where structural integrity, weather resistance and regulatory compliance are essential.
Nabasco 8040 panels are up to a 100% biobased and have a natural dark brown colour, that will age matte and to a warm brown colour.
Biobased with verified fire performance
Nabasco 8012 panels achieve B-s1,d0 classification (EN 13501), enabling use in regulated exterior environments.
Designed for exterior durability
The material is dimensionally stable and suitable for long-term outdoor exposure and heavy usage as is proven through its use in public parc benches.
Biobased & circular by design
By using agricultural side streams and recycled mineral content, Nabasco reduces dependency on virgin raw materials and lowers embodied carbon compared to conventional mineral or petrochemical-based alternatives. The material is fully recyclable within Nabasco’s own production system. Returned material can be reprocessed without downcycling.
Processable with standard techniques
The panels can be machined using conventional tooling, enabling integration into architectural systems, product design and technical assemblies without specialized fabrication methods.
Nabasco offers architects, product designers and public-space engineers a structurally viable alternative to conventional exterior panels combining regulatory compliance, circular material logic and system-level applicability.
